'Dancing Queen' struts her stuff at Windsor Castle
Published: Friday 20th of June 2008
When hosting a dinner at Windsor Castle, the Queen likes nothing more than taking to the dance floor and strutting her stuff to a classic disco track by Swedish band Abba, it has been claimed.
BBC Radio 2 presented Chris Evans revealed that a friend of his attended a dinner at the 900-year-old Royal castle in which the monarch danced along to the sounds of Dancing Queen.
"The meal was had, the speeches were made and then the disco commenced," said Evans.
"Apparently, she loves to get down on the dance floor."
Dancing Queen was the biggest hit record released by Abba, reaching the top spot in the music charts of 13 countries.
Bobby Gillespie, lead singer of the UK band Primal Scream, also revealed recently that Abba were the inspiration behind the band's latest album Beautiful Future.
